At 11:07 p.m. Monday, Paris police stopped a vehicle in the 2300 block of College Street for a traffic violation. Police believed the driver was attempting to conceal an open alcoholic beverage bottle. During a search of the vehicle, officers found suspected cocaine, suspected methamphetamine and suspected THC.
The driver, Stoney Lynn Wilkins, of Blossom, was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Wilkins was booked and placed in the city jail and is awaiting transfer to the Lamar County Jail.

The drugs were discovered after a car was stopped on the N63 at around midday on Monday
Two men arrested in connection with a drugs seizure in Longford on Monday afternoon have been released without charge.
The men were detained by Gardai after a car was stopped and searched by members of the Roscommon/Longford Divisional Drugs Unit on the N63 in Longford town at midday yesterday.
Cannabis herb worth an estimated €20,000 was seized by Gardai and a man in his late teen and another man in his 20s were arrested and questioned at Longford garda station.

Good things – as the old advert says – take time, and arranging for Minister Stuart Nash, the man in charge of Regional Economic Development, Tourism and Forestry, to visit Whangārei and look at some of our development dreams has been a good few months in the planning, so I was delighted to collect Stuart from the airport last Thursday, a (reusable) cup of his favourite tea in hand – to show him some of our sights and our potential.
